… and a new Board Member, Sandy Marty!

A warm welcome to the wonderful Sandy Marty who has joined MoneyMob’s board. Sandy is a Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara woman and Manager of the Mimili Family Centre.  Sandy has worked previously for NPY Women’s Council and in other management roles; she has completed a Bachelor of Arts at University of Adelaide and a management diploma.  Sandy has dealt with Money Mob for a few years and has a high regard for Money Mob as an organisation and the important work they undertake in Aboriginal communities.

Money Mob recently partnered with the Central Desert Regional Council (CDRC) to deliver information sessions to aged care residents in Atitjere, Ti Tree, Wilora, Willowra, Laramba, Yuelamu and Lajamanu.

Alongside the residents, staff and carers had a chance to learn skills in financial literacy, saving goals, debt, financial abuse, humbug and making informed decisions when spending.

We provide practical financial literacy training services for individuals to gain confidence and competence in essential financial life skills.
