MMT Submission Senate Community Affairs Committee CDCIn March 2012 we expanded the MoneyMob Talkabout program into a financial wellbeing service in the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands in SA, building on its existing community education programs to include money management assistance, financial counselling and tax help.
We commissioned Dr Anita Pryor and Susan J Garner to undertake a comprehensive evaluation of MMT services. An evaluation framework and survey tool, based on international, measurable indicators of financial capability developed by the World Bank, has been adapted to gain insight into how remote Aboriginal people manage their money; the first of its kind in Australia.
