Power Charging Begins in Fregon

May 15, 2023 | Pawa Atunmankunytjaku

The team was happy to be invited to Fregon to provide assistance to the community as they transitioned to paying for power.

Charging started on Wednesday 10 May 2023. The Pawa Atunmankunytjaku team set up a stall at the Council office to hand out meter cards and starter packs to every household.

The team spent the rest of the week visiting houses to support those that needed assistance as they got used to paying for power.

We would also like to welcome our newest APY Lands EEW recruit Karen Hatches. Karen will be helping Stephen provide on-ground support to houses in Fregon.

Money Mob recently partnered with the Central Desert Regional Council (CDRC) to deliver information sessions to aged care residents in Atitjere, Ti Tree, Wilora, Willowra, Laramba, Yuelamu and Lajamanu.

Alongside the residents, staff and carers had a chance to learn skills in financial literacy, saving goals, debt, financial abuse, humbug and making informed decisions when spending.

We provide practical financial literacy training services for individuals to gain confidence and competence in essential financial life skills.
